New Delhi: Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s visit to New Delhi for the G20 Summit was marked by success and strengthened ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Albanese commended the G20 Summit hosted by PM Modi, labeling it as a significant achievement. The leaders engaged in productive bilateral discussions during the New Delhi Summit.

On social media, Albanese shared insights into his talks with PM Modi regarding the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement (CECA) between Australia and India. He expressed his satisfaction, stating, “The G20 meeting in New Delhi, expertly hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was followed by a fruitful bilateral discussion focused on finalizing the Comprehensive Economic Cooperation Agreement between Australia and India.”

Albanese underscored the growing relationship between Australia and India, emphasizing its strength, particularly after PM Modi’s visit to Australia earlier during the year. He stressed the importance of nurturing this partnership, highlighting its potential benefits in terms of trade, investment, business, regional security, and stability. Albanese also acknowledged the invaluable contributions of the Indian-Australian community and expressed his eagerness to foster deeper connections between the two nations.

Additionally, Albanese highlighted the collaborative efforts between Australia and India to promote renewable energy in both countries.

As his visit came to a close, PM Modi extended his appreciation to his Australian counterpart, Anthony Albanese, for the warm welcome he received during his visit to Sydney. Modi anticipated that this visit would further strengthen the friendship between Australia and India, with both leaders committed to cultivating a robust India-Australia friendship for the greater global good.
