According to the education minister's statement, the candidate's form was filled by a friend of her husband. However, the Karnataka Education Department said that it would register an FIR after investigating the matter.
Shivamogga, Karnataka: A very strange case came to the fore in the Karnataka Teachers Recruitment Examination. An adult picture of Bollywood actress Sunny Leone was printed on the admit card of a candidate who went to take the exam. Now the screenshot of this alleged admit card is going viral on social media. Considering the seriousness of the matter, the state education department has ordered an inquiry.
Karnataka Congress social media chairperson BR Naidu shared a screenshot of the purported admit card on micro-blogging site Twitter.
He alleged that the state education department printed the former adult star’s picture on the hall ticket instead of the candidate’s photo. Naidu tweeted in Kannada and wrote, “In teacher recruitment hall ticket, instead of candidate’s photo, education department had printed blue film actress Sunny Leone’s photo. What else can we expect from a party that is inside the assembly. Blue watches movies.

Responding to Naidu’s allegation, Karnataka Education Minister BC Nagesh’s office has issued a statement. The statement said, “The candidate has to upload a photo. The system then takes the same photo that they uploaded. When we asked the candidate whether he had put Sunny Leone’s photo on his admit card, he said Said that her husband’s friend had uploaded her information.”
An education department official who was aware of the incident said the candidate had sought help from someone else to upload his application, documents and photographs. According to the education minister’s statement, the candidate’s form was filled by a friend of her husband. The candidate is a resident of Chikmagalur district. She had applied for the post of teacher in Shivamogga.
The exam was conducted on 6th November. A total of 3,32,913 candidates had appeared for the exam conducted at 781 centers in Karnataka. The Department of Public Instruction issued a clarification on the incident, saying that “the mistake was neither on the part of the government nor on the part of the education department”. However, the Karnataka Education Department said that it would register an FIR after investigating the matter.
