MUMBAI: On Friday, Superstar Shahrukh Khan’s son Aryan has been given a clean chit in the Mumbai cruise drugs case by NCB.He was arrested last year amid a probe by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), along with his friend Arbaaz Merchant and model Munmun Dhamecha. He had walked out of the jail on October 30, about four weeks later. The arrests were made after a raid on the Cordelia cruise off the Mumbai coast.
Except Aryan khan and Mohak jaswal, all the accused persons were found in possession of Narcotics reads the statement of Sanjay Kumar Singh, DDG (Operations) – NCB.
The anti drugs agency said, “Initially, the case was investigated by NCB Mumbai. Later, an SIT from NCB headquarters in New Delhi headed by Sanjay Kumar Singh, DDG (Operations), was constituted to investigate the case, which was taken over by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on November 11, 2021.”
SIT carried out its investigation in objective manner.Based on the investigation carried out by the SIT, a complaint against 14 people under various sections of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act is being filed, it said, adding that complaint against six other persons is not being filed due to lack of sufficient evidence.
Meanwhile, on Friday, the NCB submitted a charge-sheet related in this case . It submitted the charge-sheet before the registry and the special NDPS court will take its cognizance after the verification of the documents.
