Supertech demolition: Only 30 min left in blast, Noida expressway to be shut from 2:15PM to 2:45PM, Green corridor ready

New Delhi: Noida Expressway will remain closed for 30 minutes due to the demolition of Supertech Twin Towers in Noida. The route will be closed as a precautionary measure for 15 minutes before and after the demolition. Senior traffic police officer Ganesh Saha informed NDTV about this. He said, “Full arrangements have been made. The plan has been implemented. We are moving ahead accordingly.”

The team has reached to pick up the C in D West on the spot. After the collapse of the twin towers, as soon as the call is made from the authority, a team of 40 people will pick up the construction of the reach from around the West Road. The quick response team arrived.

The team expects that within 1 hour all the construction waste of the surrounding road will be cleared.

“We have earmarked parking areas for media persons and residents of the surrounding area. Traffic is being diverted near the towers from 7 am onwards,” he said. Responding to when the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be closed, he said that the route will be closed as a precautionary measure for 15 minutes before and after demolition. But if some changes are made at the next last moment, then everything will be adjusted accordingly.

“We are planning to reopen it once the dusting stops. As per the plan, the expressway will remain closed for 30 minutes. But it will depend on the situation,” he said.

During the conversation, the traffic officer also informed about the arrangements made to deal with any emergency. He said, “Ten hospitals have been identified for any emergency. A green corridor is also ready, if anyone needs to be evacuated from the area, it will be used. We have also conducted a mock drill in this regard.” ”

He said that the work of evacuating the area has been completed. We are working in coordination with the Noida Authority and Resident Welfare Associations.

Asked if he has any message for the residents of Noida, he said, “All security arrangements are in place. The firm handling it has experience of such explosions. People need not fear. It should be done smoothly.” will be completed.”
