Swati Maliwal Assault Case: Delhi Police to Visit Kejriwal’s Home, Arrest of PA Expected

Delhi Police are investigating Swati Maliwal’s complaint of being assaulted. Teams have been formed to arrest Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Assistant (PA), who is accused of the attack at the Chief Minister’s house.

Delhi Police are investigating Swati Maliwal’s complaint of being assaulted. Teams have been formed to arrest Arvind Kejriwal’s Personal Assistant (PA), who is accused of the attack at the Chief Minister’s house.

Investigation Progress
Police plan to visit Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s home on Friday, May 17, to interview the officers and staff present during the alleged assault on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Swati Maliwal. The incident reportedly occurred on May 13 while Kejriwal was home. Multiple police teams are searching for Bibhav Kumar, the CM’s PA.

On Thursday night, police went to Kejriwal’s Home but did not find him. Kumar has been called by the National Commission for Women (NCW) for questioning on Friday.

Specialized police units are actively searching for Kumar. “More than a dozen teams are looking for Bibhav,” said a source.

Legal Action
The Civil Lines Police filed an FIR based on Maliwal’s complaint, including charges under

Section 354: Assault on a woman with intent to outrage her modesty

Section 506: Criminal intimidation

Section 509: Insulting a woman’s modesty

Section 323: Assault

Maliwal had a medical examination at AIIMS Delhi after the incident.

Maliwal’s complaint states

Kejriwal was present during the assault.

Kumar verbally abused her in the drawing room.

He slapped and hit her without provocation.

Despite her pleas, Kumar continued the assault and threatened her.

Maliwal was in pain as she was menstruating at the time.

She called the police after the attack.

Delhi Police are working to resolve the case and ensure justice for Swati Maliwal.
