Om Birla Lok Sabha Speaker: The election of the 18th Lok Sabha Speaker was held today on 26th June, in which NDA candidate Om Birla has been elected Speaker of the Lok Sabha by voice vote. Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed Om Birla's name for the post of Chairman. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh approved this proposal.
