Kolkata: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is conducting searches at multiple locations in Kolkata in the cash-for-query case linked to former Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra. The move comes days after the Lokpal had directed the agency to carry out further investigation and submit a report on its findings within six months.
The Lokpal of India has mandated a comprehensive investigation by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the allegations against former Trinamool Congress Lok Sabha member Mahua Moitra. The direction comes after preliminary findings suggested Moitra was involved in unethical activities, including sharing her parliamentary login details with a Dubai-based businessman and receiving undue benefits.
