Magesh Kumar Natarajan, an Indian project manager, achieved a remarkable milestone on Friday by becoming the first winner outside the UAE in the Emirates Draw’s new FAST5 Grand Prize raffle. This victory secures him a substantial monthly prize of Dh 25,000 (equivalent to ₹5.6 lakh) for a remarkable 25-year duration, profoundly altering his life.
Natarajan, aged 49 and a project manager hailing from Ambur, Tamil Nadu, is not only the first global grand prize recipient but also the first winner from outside the UAE. His journey from Ambur to this moment was filled with challenges, and he expressed his intention to give back to society, especially to those in need, saying, “I faced a lot of challenges in my life and during my studies. Many people from society helped me to complete my education. It’s my time to give back to society. I will ensure that my contribution to society reaches needy people,”.
Magesh’s path to this incredible win was initiated during his four-year work assignment in Saudi Arabia, from 2019 to earlier this year, which brought him to Dubai. It was there that he discovered Emirates Draw, intrigued by the city’s popular draws.
The life-changing moment came when officials from the Emirates Draw reached out to inform him of his victory. Magesh Kumar Natarajan now intends to focus on giving back to the community and supporting those in need. He also plans to invest in his daughters’ education, securing a brighter future for his family. Overjoyed by his win, he described it as an “unbelievable moment” and one of the happiest and most memorable days of his life.
Managing Partner at Emirates Draw, Mohammad Behroozian Alawadhi, commented on this recent victory, stating, “Having another Grand Prize Winner in such an impressively brief span reaffirms FAST5’s unparalleled pace in delivering Grand Prizes.” He further emphasized the organization’s vision to impact and improve lives globally.
Earlier in July, Mohammed Adil Khan from Uttar Pradesh was announced as the first winner of the FAST 5 draw, marking another significant milestone in the Emirates Draw’s commitment to transforming lives through their games.
