Due to a technical issue, all flights across the United States have been grounded.
Los Angeles: Due to a technical issue, all flights across the United States have been grounded. Flights cannot operate at this time, according to the Federal Aviation Administration, which is “experiencing an outage that is impeding the update of Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs)”, and that ‘all flights are unable to be released at this time.”
On Wednesday, the regulator’s website indicated that the FAA system that warns pilots and other flight professionals about threats or any changes to airport facility services and relevant procedures was not processing updated information.
According to the flight tracking website FlightAware, as of Wednesday, 5.31 am ET (4.01 pm IST), over 400 aircraft were delayed inside, into, or out of the United States. It was unclear if the outage was a contributing factor.
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is attempting to fix the problem, according to Los Angeles International Airport, or LAX, which also encouraged passengers to check the status of their flights.
The FAA is working to resolve a national systems issue that is having an impact on flights early this morning and is being addressed by the FAA. Please check the status of your flights, and we’ll tweet updates as soon as the FAA releases them. Los Angeles International Airport tweeted
