Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Yadav’s elder son Tej Pratap Yadav, whose marital life turned unsuccessful for him and his family. He is once again in the news, threatening to release a video of the suffering of him and his family after marriage.
Mr Yadav appeared with a video statement, which is about seven minutes long. He reacted angrily to a news portal that revealed details of his divorce case, casting him in a negative light.
I can show several video clippings and other evidence which would prove the physical and verbal abuse I suffered along with my parents and my siblings. Mr Yadav, who claimed to have remained silent since he filed a petition seeking a divorce four years ago.
Tej Pratap married Aishwarya Rai, who is the granddaughter of the former chief minister of Bihar, Daroga Prasad Rai, in May 2018. Unfortunately, their marriage broke down within six months.
His wife Aishwarya stayed with her mother-in-law, Rabri Devi, and tried her best to save her marriage, but she revealed in front of a group of journalists that she had been asked to leave the house.
Her father, Chandrika Rai, a former aide of Lalu, quit the RJD and joined Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD (U) to take revenge. But lost the Parsa assembly seat in 2020.
Both Mr Yadav and Aishwarya last were seen at the Patna High Court a month ago for counseling, which is essential for couples who want a divorce.
