Tejashwi Launches ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ to Rebuild Public Trust, Criticizes Nitish Kumar’s Leadership

Muzaffarpur: Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has embarked on a significant tour of Bihar titled ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra.’ This whirlwind 11-day campaign, starting from Muzaffarpur, aims to rebuild public trust and address concerns about governance, particularly targeting Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s leadership. Tejashwi, who recently lost the deputy chief minister’s post, plans to cover all 38 districts of the state during this mass outreach.

Strategic Public Meetings and Critique of Nitish Kumar

Tejashwi Yadav is scheduled to address public meetings in Sitamarhi and Sheohar before reaching Motihari, the headquarters of East Champaran district, for a night halt. Prior to commencing the tour, Tejashwi criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Facebook, branding him as an “old-fashioned leader” who should voluntarily step down. The RJD leader questioned Kumar’s vision and ability to lead with innovation.

Jan Vishwas Yatra’s Focus on Public Feedback

Launching the ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra,’ Tejashwi emphasized the need for Bihar’s stability and visionary leadership. He highlighted the accomplishments of the RJD during the 17 months in power, particularly in the context of creating 10 lakh government jobs. Tejashwi asserted that the tour is not merely a response to Kumar’s political moves but a commitment to reaching out to the people of Bihar and assuring them of the RJD’s support, irrespective of political changes.

Political Dynamics and Kumar’s Unease

Tejashwi Yadav commented on Nitish Kumar’s reported unease within the JD(U) over its decline. Speculations suggest Kumar’s desire for early dissolution of the assembly to coincide with Lok Sabha elections, potentially aiding his party’s revival. Yadav, however, stated that the RJD is not concerned about Kumar’s political maneuvers and emphasized the tour’s purpose of connecting with Bihar’s residents.

Conclusion of Jan Vishwas Yatra

The ‘Jan Vishwas Yatra’ is set to conclude on March 1, providing Tejashwi Yadav with an extensive platform to engage with diverse communities, present the RJD’s vision for the state, and rebuild public trust in the party’s leadership
