Telangana: Six people, including a child were dead after a lorry rammed an autorickshaw and a motorbike on National Highway 44 in Mahabubnagar district of Telangana on Friday night. While two others suffered critical injuries in this incident.
The incident took place in the Balanagar area of the district. Police reached the spot, pacified the situation. The police said that the injured persons were admitted to a hospital, citing information available with them.
They added that after the incident, protests erupted in the area and people torched the lorry involved in the incident, which led to heavy traffic congestion on the highway.
Earlier, five people, including four from a family, were dead in two road accidents on NH 186 due to fog in Nalgonda district of Telangana, police said on Monday.
