Secunderabad/Telangana: In yet another tragic incident, a man in Telangana’s Secunderabad allegedly poured petrol on his brother and set him ablaze following a property dispute. The heinous crime captured on CCTV has been circulated on social media, showing the accused setting his sibling in flames in a narrow lane.
As per the surveillance camera footage, the incident unfolded on January 20, 2024 at around 5:30 am. Secunderabad police has launched an investigation. The victim survived the attack.
The altercation between the siblings reportedly rose over a disagreement regarding access to a pathway near accused Kondikonda Vinod’s residence.
The dispute between the brothers escalated and took a terrible turn when Kondikonda Vinod poured a bottle of petrol on his brother Kondikonda Srinivas and set him on fire with a match stick.
Nearby residents were able to extinguish the fire. However, Srinivas suffered severe injuries to his head and body, and was swiftly rushed to the Gandhi Hospital for treatment.
Boinpally Police have registered a case in the matter and launched an investigation as well.
