Education Minister Sabita Indra Reddy tweeted, “In view of the heavy rains in the state and under the directions of Hon’ble Chief Minister KCR Garu, the government has decided to declare holidays for two days Thursday and Friday in all educational institutions of the state.”
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD) website, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places in Adilabad, Komaram Bheem Asifabad, Jagitial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli and Jayashankar Bhupalpally districts of Telangana today.
In view of the rapidly rising water level of Godavari river in Bhadrachalam, District Collector Priyanka Ala alerted the government machinery to be on high alert.
