Texas: A small plane crashed and burned on the outside of a strip mall in Texas on Tuesday. The pilot died on the spot in this accident. According to officials, a car caught fire due to the accident, but there are no reports of injuries.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the single-engine Mooney M20 crashed north of Air Park-Dallas Airport around 6 p.m. There was no one on board except the pilot.Many photos of the scene have also emerged, showing debris in a parking lot next to a nail salon and restaurant just outside a shopping center in the Dallas suburb of Plano.
Police confirmed that the pilot died on the spot. Officials said the accident caused a parked car to catch fire, but no one was inside the vehicle.
Officials said the cause of the accident is under investigation. It is not yet clear whether the plane was taking off or trying to land at a small suburban airport, which has one runway.
