Thane Teacher Accused of Brutalizing Minor Domestic Help; Case Registered

Thane : In a disturbing incident, a 33-year-old teacher in Thane has been booked for allegedly subjecting her 11-year-old female domestic help to torture and injuries. The accused, residing in the Kapurbawdi area, is accused of beating the minor girl with a pipe, attributing it to the child’s perceived negligence in caring for the teacher’s own child. The abuse, which reportedly included depriving the victim of food, has been ongoing since December, according to the filed FIR.

Long-term Abuse and Restrictions

The victim, originally from Delhi, endured not only physical abuse but also faced restrictions on stepping outside the house, as detailed in the complaint. The distressing situation came to light when the young girl was rescued by women working as maids in neighboring flats within the same building where the accused teacher resides.

Legal Action and Ongoing Investigation

Although no arrests have been made as of now, a case has been registered against the accused under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including unlawful labor, wrongful restraint, and voluntarily causing harm. Additionally, charges have been filed under the Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act. The Kapurbawdi police station is actively investigating the matter, aiming to bring justice to the young victim subjected to such cruelty.
