The doors of Kedarnath Dham opened, devotees played drums

After heavy snowfall on Monday, the festival doli of Lord Kedarnath reached Baba Ke Dham. The temple is decorated with 20 quintals of flowers. Thousands of devotees are present in Baba's Dham.

Kedarnath Opening Date 2023: The doors of Kedarnath Dham, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and Char Dham, were opened today i.e. Tuesday morning at 6:20 am. On this occasion, the devotees beat the drums. Shri Badrinath-Kedarnath Temple Committee has completed all its preparations. The temple has been lavishly decorated with 35 quintals of flowers. Although it is snowing heavily in Kedarnath, a large number of devotees have arrived for darshan. According to the information, more than 7 thousand devotees are present in the temple premises. Earlier on Monday, Baba’s doli was brought to Kedarnath from Ukhimath.

On the occasion of the opening of the doors of Baba Kedarnath Temple, the enthusiasm of the devotees was seen at its peak. The entire Kedarnath temple complex reverberated with the chants of Har Har Mahadev. The entire campus reverberated with Vedic chanting. During this, Panchmukhi Chal Vigraha Utsav Doli Yatra of Baba Kedar also reached Kedarnath Dham from Gaurikund on Monday afternoon amid band tunes of the 6-Grenadier Regiment of the Army. The government welcomed the Doli Yatra to the Dham by showering flowers from the helicopter.

Heli service will start today

With the opening of the doors, heli service will start for Kedarnath from Tuesday morning. Nine aviation companies will operate heli services from Jakdhar, Shersi, Phata, Narayankoti, Jammu and Sonprayag in Kedarghati. On Monday, trial flights were conducted from various helipads to the Dham.

Recognized as the fifth Jyotirlinga

Situated at an altitude of 3 thousand 581 meters above sea level, this temple is also worshiped as the fifth Jyotirlinga. It is believed that it was here that Lord Shiva appeared in the form of a bull to the Pandavas. This grand temple was built by Jagatguru Adi Shankaracharya in the 8th and 9th centuries. The then Garhwal king made all arrangements for the construction of the temple.

The doors of Badrinath Dham will open on 27

The doors of Lord Badrinath, the special pilgrimage of the Char Dham Yatra, will be opened on April 27. Under the auspicious time, the doors of Badrinath will open at 7.10 am. Let us inform, every year the Char Dham Yatra starts for a fixed period. Badrinath Dham is considered to be the abode of Lord Vishnu.
