The film The Kerala Story has been banned in West Bengal. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has said that if the film is screened, the peace and order of the state can be disrupted. He has said in the order given to the Chief Secretary that strict action should be taken if anyone is found violating the order.

Mamta Banerjee expressed her anger towards the film. He said that this story is fabricated and he announced to ban the film. On the other hand, Union Minister Anurag Thakur reacted to this and said that may God give wisdom to Mamta.
