Thieves break into Anupam Kher’s Mumbai office On Wednesday night, actor Anupam Kher’s Anupam Kher office was burgled, in which thieves stole Rs 4.15 lakh in cash and negatives of a film produced by his company. The incident took place at his office located on Veera Desai Road in Amboli area on Wednesday night and when the office staff reached around 9:45 am on Thursday, they found the locks broken. Anupam Kher spoke about the incident in posts on his official Twitter and Instagram accounts.

The veteran actor shared a video showing the broken lock and hatch bolt on the door of his office in Andheri, adding, “This video was made by people in my office before the police arrived!” “Last night two thieves broke two doors in my office at Veera Desai Road and stole the entire safe from the accounts department (which they probably could not break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company, which were in a box. Our office has lodged an FIR,” the actor wrote in Hindi, without naming the film whose negatives were stolen.

According to Anupam Kher, CCTV footage captured outside the building shows the two leaving in an auto-rickshaw, adding that he hopes “God gives them wisdom.” An FIR was lodged at Amboli police station under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code following the incident, which is currently under investigation, as confirmed by a police officer.
