Third terrorist killed in fresh encounter with security forces in kulgam district of J&K

Kulgam: Security forces killed another terrorist in Redwani Pine area of ​​Kulgam in South Kashmir on Wednesday. Two terrorists were killed in an encounter in the area on Tuesday. Kulgam: Security forces killed another terrorist in Redwani Pine area of ​​Kulgam in South Kashmir on Wednesday. Two terrorists were killed in an encounter in the area on Tuesday. After this, a search operation was launched in the area. Kashmir Police said in a post on X, ‘Third terrorist killed in Kulgam encounter. Efforts are being made to identify the terrorist.

Regarding this matter, the Inspector General of Police, Kashmir, said that he was involved in more than 18 cases of killing of police personnel and civilians. Security forces had launched a cordon and search operation in Redwani area of ​​​​Kulgam late on Monday night after receiving information about the presence of terrorists in the area.

The operation continued on Tuesday as well, after which two terrorists were killed in the firing. On Wednesday, a fresh exchange of fire took place between a terrorist and security forces in the area and the third terrorist was also killed. The third terrorist was identified as Momin Mir. Basit Dar was killed along with one of his companions on Tuesday, while Mir kept evading the security forces and hid on the upper floor of a house.

According to Inspector General of Police (IGP), Kashmir, V K Birdhi, one of the slain terrorists has been identified as Basit Dar, an “A” category terrorist who belonged to The Resistance Front (TRF). Meanwhile, security forces have intensified the search operation in Poonch and Rajouri districts to nab the terrorists responsible for the attack on the Indian Air Force convoy on Saturday. A corporal rank personnel lost his life in the attack.
