Tihar Jail former DG Sandeep Goel suspended on extortion claims by conman Sukesh

Former Tihar DG Sandeep Goyal has been suspended. Sandeep Goyal is currently the Special Commissioner in Delhi Police. Sukesh Chandrashekhar, who was lodged in Tihar in money laundering case, had made serious allegations against Sandeep Goyal. Not only this, as soon as Sandeep Goyal was jail DG, Delhi government minister Satyendar Jain was accused of getting massage done in jail.

New Delhi: Taking major action on Thursday, the Union Home Ministry has suspended former Tihar Jail DG Sandeep Goyal on Sukesh’s claim of extortion. Sandeep Goyal is currently Special Commissioner in Delhi Police. Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who is lodged in Tihar in the money laundering case, had made serious allegations against Sandeep Goyal. Not only this, when Sandeep Goyal was jail DG, Delhi government minister Satyendra Jain was accused of getting massage done in jail.

Recently, Sukesh had written a letter to LG Vinay Saxena accusing Sandeep Goyal of giving a bribe of crores of rupees. LG had formed a committee to investigate the matter. Based on the inquiry report of the committee, LG has suspended Sandeep Goyal on corruption charges.

Let us inform that after the bribery case of Sandeep Goel (IPS Sandeep Goel) came to the fore, he was attached to the Police Headquarters by the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi on the orders of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In his place, senior IPS officer Sanjay Beniwal was given the charge.

Let us inform that on November 4, 2022, 1989 batch senior IPS officer and Tihar Jail DG Sandeep Goyal was transferred. On the orders of Delhi’s Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, the orders were issued by Shailesh Kumar, Deputy Secretary (Home), Home Department, Government of Delhi.

In the orders, former DG Sandeep Goyal was ordered to report to the PHQ headquarters. In his place, Sanjay Beniwal, a senior IPS officer of 1989 batch of AGMUT cadre and Special Commissioner (Perception Management and Media Cell), was appointed as DG Prisons.

Meanwhile, Sukesh Chandrasekhar had also alleged in a letter to his lawyer that ever since he wrote a letter and complaint to Delhi’s LG Vinay Kumar Saxena, since then Satyendar Jain and Tihar Jail’s DG (former ) are threatening him. Sukesh has also made many more serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party through the letter.
