In his final address, he said, “The kind of violence that is happening in Bengal, I feel very strange sitting here,” Mr Trivedi said.

He also said that he feels “suffocated” for not being able to do anything of the ground situation in poll bound Bengal despite being a parliamentarian. “I am grateful for my party, but I feel suffocated as I am not able to do anything when there is violence happening in my state,” Trivedi said.

“We are here only for our motherland. I am grateful to my party for sending me here,” he said, while adding that he wanted to go back and work for his state.
