Tokyo olymics: Today is the 9th day of Tokyo Olympics. India’s Kamalpreet Kaur has done well in discus throw. He has made it to the finals. Kamalpreet is very close to getting India a medal. He threw 64 meters in the third attempt. At the same time, India has got disappointment in archery and boxing. Archer Atanu Das and boxer Amit Panghal are out after losing. Both have lost the pre-quarterfinal match.

Today is the 9th day of the Tokyo Olympics. India’s Kamalpreet Kaur has done well in discus throw. She has made it to the finals. Kamalpreet is very close to getting India a medal. She threw 64 meters in the third attempt. At the same time, India has got disappointment in archery and boxing.

Kamalpreet Kaur qualified for the finals of the women’s Discus Throw final with a 64.00 throw during qualification on Saturday, at the ongoing Tokyo Olympics. Seema Punia failed to qualify, and registered 60.57 as her best attempt during qualification. Also, world number one Amit Panghal faced an early exit in the Round of 16, losing to Yuberjen Martinez in the Men’s Boxing Fly (48-52kg) category. Other than Panghal, archer Atanu Das lost to Japan’s Takaharu Furukawa in the men’s individual 1/8 Eliminations. Anirban Lahiri is currently in action, participating in the Men’s Individual Stroke Play Round 3. Shooters Tejaswini Sawant and Anjum Moudgil will also be competing in the women’s 50m Rifle 3 Positions Qualification and will progress to the medal round later in the day if they make the cut. India women’s hockey team will be up against South Africa. PV Sindhu will headline India’s schedule when she takes on World No.1 Tai Tzu-ying in badminton women’s singles semi-final.

Kamalpreet Kaur of India has given a wonderful performance in discus throw. He has made it to the finals. Kamalpreet entered the final with a throw of 64 meters in the third attempt. She finished second in the qualification round.
