Aichi/Japan: Good news for car lovers, booking open for SUV Hyryder, Japanese automaker Toyota has officially announced its entry into the C-SUV segment of the Indian market with the launch of the Urban Cruiser Hider for the Indian market. The new SUV Hyryder will compete with other models like Hyundai Creta, MG Hector, Jeep Compass, Tata Harrier, and more. There will also be a Maruti Suzuki variant of the car which will be produced at the Bidadi plant in Karnataka along with the Toyota variant. The new SUV will be available for sale next month. Bookings are officially open for an amount of Rs 25,000 both at Toyota dealerships and online.
Toyota SUV Hyryder design:
The Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider gets a different designed front which looks very luxurious. The SUV sports an attractive design with slim LED DRLs just below the chrome garnished bumper. Also, the bumper sports headlamps with a slightly different design as compared to other Toyota cars. The design continues to the rear end, with the company’s emblematic slanted tail lamps in the centre.
Toyota Urban Cruiser features:
Being a new car, the interiors of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Header offer ‘newness’ and comfort. At the rear, the Toyota Hyryder SUV gets slim C-shaped tail-lights that extend to the tailgate along with dual C-shaped parking lamps. The Haier variant of the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider gets features like panoramic sunroof, 360-degree camera, wireless charger, a full digital instrument cluster, heads-up display, connected car tech and voice assist with Google and Siri compatibility.
Apart from this, it includes wireless charger, cooled seats, heads up display and 360-degree camera. In terms of safety, the Urban Cruiser Hider gets six airbags, tire pressure monitoring system, ESP, hill-hold assist, 3-point seatbelts for all rear passengers, all-wheel disc brakes and hill descent control. Drive modes are also available in the AWD version.
Toyota SUV Hyryder engine:
With a hybrid powertrain, the Toyota Urban Cruiser Hider differentiates itself from its rivals. The Hyryder comes with a 1.5L TNGA NA petrol engine, but is also available in a lighter- and stronger-hybrid variant. The Hyryder is offered with three different transmission options: a CVT, a 6-speed AT, and a 5-speed MT.
Toyota SUV Hyryder price:
Toyota will announce prices for the urban cruiser Haider next month and the midsize SUV that will rival the Creta will be built at Toyota’s Bidadi plant in Karnataka. Toyota will offer 3 years/1,00,000 kms warranty, extendable up to 5 years/2,20,000 kms. The carmaker is also offering an 8-year/1,60,000 km warranty on the hybrid battery. Toyota is offering seven single-tone and four dual-tone exterior paint shades on the Hyryder.
