In a heartbreaking incident during the Bundelkhand Gaurav Mahotsav in Chitrakoot, four teenagers lost their lives in a devastating explosion on the event’s second day. The blast, which occurred during a fireworks display, resulted in the immediate death of two teenagers, with two others succumbing to severe injuries later.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath acted promptly, initiating a high-level inquiry committee led by an additional director general (ADG) to investigate the tragedy. He also announced financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh for the families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured.

Legal Action and FIR
In response to the incident, legal actions were swiftly taken, including the filing of an FIR against Harsh Kamdar, Pankaj Jaat, and their associates linked to the entertainment company. Charges under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, including 304 for culpable homicide, have been invoked.
Probe and Timeline
ADG Kanpur Zone, Bhanu Bhaskar, arrived at the scene to initiate a thorough investigation. The committee aims to conclude its probe within three days, presenting its findings to the state government.
