In a tragic incident, 18 people lost their lives and 4 others were injured when a pickup vehicle overturned in Chhattisgarh’s Kawardha district. The accident occurred in the early hours of the morning in Kawardha. The deceased include several passengers who were traveling in the pickup vehicle. Preliminary investigations suggested that the vehicle may have been speeding, causing it to lose control and overturn. The authorities are conducting a thorough investigation to determine the exact cause.

The state government has expressed condolences to the victims’ families and assured support for those affected by the tragedy. This devastating accident has shocked the local community, and further updates are expected as the investigation continues.

The tragic incident occurred in the Bahpani area of Kabirdham district, Chhattisgarh. Kabirdham Police Superintendent Dr. Abhishek Pallav confirmed the incident, stating that 15 people have died, and 10 are injured.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao expressed his sorrow over the incident via a tweet. He stated, “Received extremely painful news from Kawardha district. Reports indicate that 15 people have died in a pickup vehicle accident in the Kukdur police station area. All were returning home after collecting tendu leaves from the forest.”

Local authorities and rescue teams promptly arrived at the scene to assist the injured and recover the bodies of the deceased. The injured have been transported to nearby hospitals for urgent medical care.
