Tragic accident in Maharashtra’s Pune, hoarding fell in storm and rain; 6 killed, 2 injured

Maharashtra: Five people, including four women and a man, died when an iron hoarding board collapsed in Rawat Kiwale area of Pimpri Chinchwad town in Pune district.

Six people were killed when an iron hoarding collapsed in Rawat Kiwale area of Pune’s Pimpri Chinchwad town in Maharashtra on Monday. Two people have been injured in this accident, they have been admitted to the hospital. Police said that four women were among the dead. And this incident took place on the service road on Mumbai-Pune highway in Rawat Kiwale area. Police team has reached the spot after getting the information. Relief rescue work is going on.

The incident is being told at 6:30 pm. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police and fire brigade team reached the spot and started the rescue work.

In fact, due to the strong wind in Rawat Kiwale area, some people had taken shelter under iron hoardings. Suddenly the structure collapsed on them, due to which 8 people were buried under the hoarding. Due to which 6 people died and two others were injured.

In 2018, three people died due to falling hoardings
A similar accident took place in Pune in October 2018 as well. An iron hoarding had fallen on an auto rickshaw in Shaniwarwada area. Three people were killed in this accident, while eight people were injured. Six auto rickshaws, a car and two bikes were damaged in the accident.
