Sonbhadra: In yet another major bus accident happened in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday when a bus and a truck collided head-on. This incident took place near Piprakhand on the Varanasi-Ambikapur road, where a passing bus collided strongly with a truck coming from the front. In this accident, 24 people were injured, out of which the condition of 7 remains very critical.
Seven of the injured were critical and referred to the district hospital, while the rest were treated at a community health centre.
The private bus was travelling from Ambikapur in Chhattisgarh to Renukoot in Sonbhadra when the accident took place on the Varanasi-Ambikapur road, Babhani police station SHO Manoj Kumar Singh said.
The truck was going to Odisha from Farrukhabad in Uttar Pradesh.
Head-on collision between bus and truck
Giving information about this incident, the police officials said that it was a private bus which was going from Ambikapur to Renukoot, when a truck came in front of the bus near Piprakhand area in Babhni. There was a fierce face-to-face confrontation between the two. Many people were also aboard the bus when the collision took place. As soon as the collision happened, there was shouting all around. After which the people around gathered there and the police was informed about it. The police reached the spot and pulled out the injured with the help of nearby people.
Injured admitted to the hospital
According to the police, the police reached the spot on the information of the villagers. In this accident, 24 people on the bus were injured, who were immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of 7 of the injured remains critical, after which they have been referred to the district hospital, where they are undergoing treatment.
