Tragic End for Minor Rape Survivor: Hacked to Death in Kaushambi; Family Alleges Coercion for Compromise

In a horrifying incident near a village under Mahewaghat police station in Kaushambi district, a minor rape survivor was brutally hacked to death on Monday evening, allegedly by the perpetrator and his accomplices. The accused, recently released on bail, resided in the same village as the victim, and an FIR had been filed against him months ago based on the survivor’s complaint.

While initial investigations by Superintendent of Police Brajesh Kumar Srivastava pointed towards the accused’s brother as the murderer, the girl’s relatives assert the involvement of the accused himself. Multiple police teams have been formed to apprehend the perpetrators, emphasizing the urgency of the situation.

The family of the victim further claimed that they had been subjected to pressure by the accused and his family to reach a compromise. The accused, having recently been released from jail on bail, seemingly targeted the survivor as she returned from the fields around 5:30 pm on Monday. The assailants, wielding an axe, chased her outside the village and carried out the brutal attack.

Following the tragic incident, the victim’s body has been sent for autopsy, as authorities intensify efforts to bring the culprits to justice. The case highlights the urgent need for a comprehensive investigation into the circumstances surrounding the assault and the role of the accused and his associates in the heinous crime.
