Nashik city in Maharashtra as a 30-year-old woman allegedly ended her life by jumping from a high-rise building, while her two young children were discovered lifeless in her home. The harrowing event unfolded in the Konark Nagar area, where around 7 am, the woman, identified as Ashwini Nikumbh, leaped from the terrace of Hari Vandan Apartment.
Upon reaching the scene following alerts from residents, authorities were met with the grim discovery of Ashwini’s two children, Aaradhya (8) and Agastya (2), found deceased within the family’s residence. The woman’s husband was reportedly away at the time of the incident.
Police investigations suggest a disturbing sequence of events, with suspicions arising that Ashwini may have poisoned her children before taking her own life. In a chilling video message left behind, Ashwini attributed her extreme actions to alleged mistreatment by her husband, Swapnil. A note, purportedly written by Ashwini, further pointed fingers at Swapnil, accusing him of subjecting her to torment.
Before her tragic demise, Ashwini recorded a poignant video message, detailing her grievances against Swapnil and implying his role in compelling her to resort to such drastic measures. The recorded message was shared with their relatives before the irreversible act was carried out.
As investigations progress, Swapnil, who was reportedly in Pune for work at the time, has been summoned to join the probe. Authorities are focusing on unraveling the circumstances leading to the distressing turn of events, including delving into the allegations made against Swapnil.
