New Delhi: After a medical college in Ahmedabad was renamed as Narendra Modi Medical College, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) working president and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao (KTR) made fun of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance minister Nirmala Sithraman Taking to Twitter, the Telangana minister said that if Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman got her way, she might instruct the RBI to print new currency notes with PM Modi’s images in place of Mahatma Gandhi’s.
He tweeted, “LG Medical College in Ahmedabad has been renamed as Narendra Modi Medical College! Earlier, Sardar Patel Stadium was changed and renamed as Narendra Modi Stadium. If FM Nirmala Ji gets her way, the RBI may soon be ordered to print new currency notes where Mahatma Gandhi Ji will be replaced by Modi Ji. “
Earlier, the TRS working president KT Rama Rao hit out at former Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das, saying Hyderabad’s name must be replaced with Bhagyanagar if the BJP comes to power in Telangana. In a tweet quoting Raghubar Das’s statement, he said, “Why don’t you change Ahmedabad’s name to Adanibad first?”
