New Delhi: The official Twitter handle of the Pakistan government has been banned in India. According to the information, Twitter has taken action on the account of the government of Pakistan only on the legal demand of the government of India. Attempting to access the account will display a message stating, “Account Withheld @GovtofPakistan’s account has been withheld in India in response to a legal demand.”
After this action people of India will not be able to see this account. This is not the first time that the Twitter account of the Pakistan government has been blocked in India, before this the official Twitter account of the Pakistan government has been banned in India many times.
Twitter is obligated to block all accounts upon a court order or reasonable legal demand in any country. Now, any post made on the official Twitter account of Pakistan government cannot be seen in India. However, there has been no comment from the IT Ministry of the Government of India regarding this action, nor has there been any response from Pakistan.
