A petrol bomb was thrown at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Kerala's Kannur district on Friday.
Kannur: A petrol bomb was thrown at the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) office in Kerala’s Kannur district on Friday. Two unknown men on a bike threw explosives at the RSS office.During the incident, the office’s windows were broken.
There have been no casualties reported so far in the incident. Police have started an investigation to identify and nab both the culprits.
The incident occurred in the middle of widespread demonstrations against the detention of Indian Popular Front members (PFI). Stones were pelted during the protests, and incidents of vandalism were reported in several areas.
According to local media, a petrol bomb was reportedly thrown at a vehicle carrying newspapers for distribution at Narayanpara in Kannur early in the morning.
This is not the first incident when the RSS office was targeted by assailants. In July, bombs were also thrown at the RSS office. At the time, Sangh accused CPI(M) workers of plotting the attack.
