New Delhi: In a major success, The news that is coming from Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir is really appreciable. In fact, on Sunday, the villagers nabbed two heavily armed Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists. One of the terrorist ‘Most Wanted’ commander was also involved. After controlling both the terrorists, the villagers handed them over to the police.
Weapons recovered from terrorists
It was informed by the police that Lashkar Commander Talib Hussain, a resident of Rajouri district and the mastermind of the recent IED blasts in the district and terrorist Faizal Ahmed Dar from Pulwama district of South Kashmir, were apprehended in Tuksan village. Regarding the matter, the officials said that two AK rifles, seven grenades and one pistol have been recovered from the terrorists.
The bravery of the villagers is being praised all over the country. Director General of Police Dilbag Singh announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh to the villagers for their bravery
Arms and ammunition recovered:
Two AK-47 rifles, 7 grenades and a pistol have been recovered from the terrorists. The DGP has announced a reward of Rs 2 lakh for the villagers. ADGP Jammu has given this information. The arrested terrorists have been identified as Faizal Ahmad Dar and Talib Hussain.
Earlier on July 1, two Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were arrested from Srinagar in Jammu and Kashmir. Arms and ammunition were also recovered from them. The police had given information about this on Friday.
A police official had said that on the basis of information about the presence of terrorists in the district, the police had imposed a special blockade on Thursday. During the investigation at one such checkpoint in Sanat Nagar Chowk-Rangreth Road area, security forces arrested a terrorist, a pistol and some bullets were also recovered from him, the official said.
The arrested terrorist, a cordon and search operation was launched in Pampore area of the city, in which one more terrorist was arrested. Three pistols and other ammunition have been recovered from him.
