Two ministers in Yogi’s cabinet upset; Jitin Prasada set to meet with Amit Shah regarding his complaints

Lucknow: Two ministers in the Yogi Adityanath cabinet, Dinesh Khatik and Jitin Prasad, are not satisfied with the functioning of the Uttar Pradesh government. The rumour is in the air that Khatik, the minister of state for Jal Shakti Department, has been considering resigning from the Yogi cabinet. Meanwhile, the Yogi Adityanath cabinet has denied such conjecture.

However, PWD minister Jitin Prasada doesn’t look satisfied with the government over the transfer of his officer on special duty (OSD).

Khatik is upset over the transfer of his department and an FIR lodged against his aides in Hastinapur. Minister Swatantra Dev Singh leads the department. As per the report, Khatik has vacated his official residence and vehicle and decided to shift to his personal house in Hastinapur.

According to sources, PWD minister Jitin Prasad is upset with the Yogi government over the transfer of his OSD, Anil Kumar Pandey, who was sent to New Delhi by the state government.

The phones of both ministers were switched off till late on Tuesday night.

The Yogi Adityanath government launched an investigation into the Public Works Department amidst corruption. Therefore, a three-member inquiry committee, comprising chief secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, additional chief secretary for home Awanish Awasthi and additional chief secretary for sugar industries and excise Sanjay R Bhoosreddy, found transfers of several engineers and officials took place in lieu of money. The panel accused Anil Kumar Pandey in its probe report.

Jitin Prasada is set to land in Delhi on Wednesday to meet Home Minister Amit Shah to talk about the probe.

Jitin Prasada was present at the Yogi cabinet meeting on Tuesday but denied speaking to the media.
