The new judges were inducted in the Supreme Court on Monday at 10.30 am after the swearing-in ceremony.

President Draupadi Murmu has signed the warrant of appointment of Justice Rajesh Bindal and Justice Arvind Kumar in the Supreme Court.
The new judges were inducted in the Supreme Court on Monday at 10.30 am after the swearing-in ceremony.
On Friday, Law Minister Kiren Rijiju announced new appointments to the apex court on Twitter.
Justice Bindal was the Chief Justice of the Allahabad High Court and Justice Kumar was separated as the Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court before being elevated to the Supreme Court.
After the swearing-in ceremony, after a gap of nine months, the apex court’s strength has regained its full strength of 34 judges including the Chief Justice of India.
The Supreme Court Collegium had recommended their names to the Center for elevation on January 31.
Born on April 16, 1961, Justice Bindal was to demit office in April this year after attaining the age of 62, however, due to his elevation to the Supreme Court, he now has three more years in service.
The retirement age of High Court judges is 62 years while that of Supreme Court judges retires at 65 years.
Justice Kumar was born on 14 July 1962 and will turn 61 in July 2023.Last week, five judges took oath as Supreme Court judges after their elevation.
