U.P. Chief Minister Yogi to Illuminate Diwali Festivities with Vantangiya Community

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is set to continue his tradition of celebrating Diwali with the Vantangiya community, forest dwellers, in Tinkonia village No. 3 in Gorakhpur this Sunday. During this festive occasion, the Chief Minister plans to announce and gift 52 development projects totaling ₹153 crore to Gorakhpur, as confirmed by the CM’s camp office.

The scheduled activities include the inauguration of 32 projects valued at ₹91 crore and the laying of foundation stones for 20 additional projects totaling ₹62 crore. The majority of these projects are focused on rural development, with a particular emphasis on initiatives related to solid waste management at the village level.

Preparations for the CM’s visit include the setup of stalls showcasing various people-friendly schemes implemented by the state government in Tinkonia village No. 3. The sanitation drive in the area is being closely monitored by the Gorakhpur district panchayati raj officer in anticipation of the Chief Minister’s proposed visit.

The Vantangiya villagers, who had been marginalized for decades, are eagerly anticipating the presence of the CM during Diwali. Yogi Adityanath’s sustained efforts have brought the Vantangiya community into the mainstream of society. Since 2009, when he was the Lok Sabha MP from Gorakhpur, the Chief Minister has been celebrating Diwali with the Vantangiya community.

Notably, Yogi Adityanath’s initiatives have led to significant improvements in the education of Vantangiya children, particularly girls, empowering them to move towards self-reliance .
