U.P. CM Yogi Adityanath Celebrates Chhath Festival, Emphasizes Unity, and Tradition

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath actively participated in the Chhath celebrations at Laxman Mela ground, underlining the festival’s essence as a celebration of nature and gratitude towards God. Adityanath’s address highlighted the pivotal role of faith in fostering unity and safeguarding cultural heritage.

Expressing his appreciation for the Bhojpuri community, CM Yogi Adityanath directly connected with the audience by conveying blessings in Bhojpuri. He extended warm wishes, particularly acknowledging the commitment of mothers and sisters observing a challenging fast for their families during the festival.

During the event, Yogi Adityanath emphasized India’s deep-rooted faith, serving as a unifying force across the nation. He recounted historical challenges, emphasizing how faith has preserved traditions despite adversities. The Chief Minister contrasted this with other nations facing existential crises due to neglecting their cultural roots.

Highlighting the forthcoming opening of the Ram temple in Ayodhya, Adityanath referenced the collective faith demonstrated during the 500-year Ram Janmabhoomi struggle. He announced the temple’s public inauguration in January, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in attendance.

Post-Chhath puja, Yogi Adityanath stressed the responsibility of organizers in conducting cleanliness drives at river ghats, emphasizing the vital connection between water, life, and the importance of preserving the purity and beauty of nature. Notable figures present at the event included Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak, Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra, Principal Secretary (Home) Sanjay Prasad, Lucknow Mayor Sushma Kharkwal, MLA Yogesh Shukla, and BJP leader Arpana Yadav.
