Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the cultural richness of India, stating that the country’s festivals embody a spirit of joy and enthusiasm, devoid of sorrow and mourning. Speaking at the inauguration of the Shrimad Bhagavat Katha Mahapuran event held at Shri Guru Gorakshanath Ashram in Nangal village, Baghpat district, Yogi Adityanath underscored his administration’s commitment to promoting India’s traditions with a positive outlook.

During the event, Yogi Adityanath discussed the historical significance of Baghpat, a land that traces its roots back to the Mahabharat era. He recalled that Baghpat was among the five villages Lord Krishna had requested from Duryodhana, highlighting its deep cultural heritage.

As part of his visit, the Chief Minister offered prayers at the Guru Gorakshanath and the Navdurga temples on the Ashram premises. He also planted a Rudraksha tree and inaugurated the impressive Satsang Bhavan. Additionally, he presided over a public meeting in Baraut, inaugurating 311 development projects worth ₹351 crore in Baghpat.

Yogi Adityanath proudly stated that Uttar Pradesh has entered an era of security and prosperity, ensuring the well-being of every citizen. He emphasized the fair implementation of development schemes, emphasizing that no one could exploit farmers or jeopardize the future of the youth without facing consequences.

The Chief Minister announced plans to transform Janta Vedic College in Baraut into a university, expanding educational opportunities and encouraging higher education for the youth in nearby districts. He also revealed the upcoming establishment of a medical college in Baghpat, providing modern education options for local students.

Reflecting on the government’s achievements, Yogi Adityanath highlighted the focus on rural development, echoing the vision of former PM Chaudhary Charan Singh and the efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He shared that the government had successfully addressed long-standing issues such as pending sugarcane dues, ensuring timely payments to farmers.

Moreover, the Chief Minister discussed major infrastructure projects, including the Delhi-Dehradun Greenfield Expressway Highway, which is poised to bring extensive development to the area, generating new employment opportunities and fostering growth.

During his visit, Yogi Adityanath interacted with various departments, attending exhibitions and distributing essentials to beneficiaries of government schemes, demonstrating the government’s commitment to the welfare of its people.
