U.P. CM Yogi Adityanath Ensures Stern Action Against Those Harming Daughters

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath issued a strong warning, declaring severe consequences for anyone endangering the safety of daughters in the state. He reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding women and empowering them economically. Adityanath announced a series of developmental initiatives, including financial aid for daughters and free domestic gas cylinders for Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries. The CM also outlined plans to boost women’s participation in elections and increase recruitment of women in the police force and education sector.

Addressing the Nari Shakti Vandan Sammelan in Ballia district’s Bansdih town, Yogi Adityanath assured that the government’s efforts to enhance the security, respect, and dignity of women will persist. He emphasized that those who threaten the safety of daughters will meet a fate akin to Ravana and Kansa. Adityanath inaugurated 35 development projects worth ₹129 crore, underscoring the government’s dedication to women’s welfare.

The CM highlighted the Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana, which grants ₹25,000 to every daughter in six phases, and the ₹51,000 assistance provided under the Mukhyamantri Samuhik Vivah Yojana. Additionally, he announced the distribution of free domestic gas cylinders to Ujjwala scheme beneficiaries during Diwali, aiming to alleviate the harmful effects of smoke on mothers and sisters in the state.

Adityanath shared plans for 33 percent reservation for women in Lok Sabha and assembly elections after the 2026 delimitation, expressing gratitude to PM Narendra Modi for this initiative. He emphasized the government’s focus on ensuring the safety, respect, and self-reliance of women, highlighting the priority recruitment of 20 percent women personnel in the state police force. The CM also underscored the ongoing efforts to recruit predominantly female teachers in basic education council schools.

The event, attended by various dignitaries, including Uttar Pradesh transport minister Daya Shankar Singh and Ballia MP Virendra Singh, showcased the government’s commitment to women’s welfare and development in the state.
