Abi Dhabi: The Sheikh Zayed Festival in Abu Dhabi will host the largest, record-breaking firework show, which will continue for more than 40 minutes, when the world rings in the new year in 2023. A drone demonstration featuring more than 3000 drones will also be part of the festival, which is open to everyone.
The fireworks are anticipated to break three Guinness World Records, along with the largest drone show, which seeks to break the record for having more than 3000 drones light up the sky with the welcoming word “Hayakum” to celebrate the New Year.
The festival will also feature a variety of other activities and entertainment, including Selfie Street, the Flower Garden, the Art District, and Fun Fair City. Additional fireworks displays are set to take place in the UAE to welcome the new year, 2023.
Massive crowds are anticipated in other hot spots like the Corniche, Al Maryah Island, and Yas Island, where the skies will be lit with spectacular fireworks while hundreds of thousands of locals and tourists are anticipated to hit the roads to Al Wathba to see the breath taking fireworks.
Free bus trips have been announced to transport visitors to the location.
The iconic Burj Khalifa firework show and a firework display and shows on the Al Majaz waterfront are set to occur at midnight to welcome 2023.
