Mumbai: The editor of Shiv Sena mouthpiece Saamana has been changed. Uddhav Thackeray has taken over as the chief editor following the arrest of Sanjay Raut by the ED in the Patra Chawl case. Previously, Raut was the editor.
The editor of Saamna lashed out at opposition parties, including former MVA ally NCP, for not joining in the nationwide protest called by the Congress last week amidst inflation, unemployment and a GST hike on essential items.
The Shiv Sena is aggressive following the ED action against Sanjay Raut. The Sena applauded Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for their efforts and leadership during the protests. Both were manhandled and detained by police.

With the use of ED, the voices on crucial issues such as inflation, unemployment, and GST on necessary items are being suppressed.
The Shiv Sean hit out on West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee for not voting in the Vice Presidential election because of minor issues. ED and CBI actions replete with politics have gone up in West Bengal. Despite being targeted, Rahul and Sonia Gandhi took to the streets to protest against inflation and unemployment, according to the report.
