London: Counting of votes continues for the general elections in Britain. In the results released after counting of votes, the Labor Party has got a landslide victory. Labor Party has crossed the mark of 400 seats. In the results of British general elections so far, Labor Party has won 406 seats. Whereas Conservative Party won 112 seats. Liberal Democratic Party has got 67 seats.

Rishi Sunak won from Richmond

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has won the election from Richmond seat. He congratulated Labor Party leader Keir Starmer on his victory and said he would issue a statement following the election results.

Keir Starmer thanks voters

Labor Party leader Keir Starmer, who is close to becoming the new Prime Minister of Britain, on Friday thanked the voters amid the counting of votes and said that the people of the country are ready for change and they voted to end the politics of show off. In his victory speech after winning the Holborn and St Pancras seats, 61-year-old Starmer said: ‘Whether people voted for him or not, I will serve every person in this constituency. I will speak for you, support you, fight your battles every day. Now the time has come for us to do our work.

Britain’s general election was fought on these issues

According to exit polls, Labor may win 410 seats, while the current Conservative Party led by Prime Minister Rishi Sunak will be reduced to just 131 seats. Starmer thanked everyone involved in the vote counting and his fellow candidates. He said that ‘the heart of our democracy beats not in Westminster or Whitehall, but in town halls, community centers and in the hands of the people who vote.’
