UK Indian Embassy Attack: NIA raids 31 places in Punjab, Haryana

The NIA raided the house of Paramjit Singh Pamma, an accused in the Patiala and Ambala bomb blasts, in Mohali. Interrogated his parents for more than two hours. During this the team also checked their mobile phones. Pamma is an accomplice of terrorist Wadhwa Singh Babbar. Pamma's name is also in the list of 13 terrorists released by the Centre.

New Delhi: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) carried out raids at 31 locations in Punjab and Haryana to unearth the conspiracy behind the March 19 attack on the Indian High Commission in London and nab the culprits.

Major action has been initiated against those involved in the attack on the Indian High Commission in London. Similarly, the NIA has conducted raids in Punjab and Haryana. Officials had told that a group of about 50 people attacked the Indian High Commission in London on March 19 during a demonstration by Khalistan supporters. The protesters tried to barge into the High Commission, injured officials, desecrated the Indian flag and damaged public property.

The raids were carried out in Moga, Barnala, Kapurthala, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Tarn Taran, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, SBS Nagar, Amritsar, Muktsar, Sangrur, Patiala and Mohali districts of Punjab and Sirsa in Haryana.

During this, the teams took computer hard disks, documents and mobile phones with them from different places. The NIA raided the house of Paramjit Singh Pamma, an accused in the Patiala and Ambala bomb blasts, in Mohali. Interrogated his parents for more than two hours.

According to the anti-terror agency, it is conducting a comprehensive investigation into the incident to ensure that such breach of security, disrespect to the Indian national flag or any threat to Indian interests abroad does not happen again.
