London: On Thursday, the United Kingdom added 26 fresh designations to its list of sanctions against Russia related to the Ukrainian conflict, including military leaders and defence firms.
Britain, which has attempted to play a crucial role in the West’s reaction to Moscow’s invasion of Ukraine, has already imposed hundreds of penalties on prominent Russian oligarchs and officials, including President Vladimir Putin, including asset freezes and travel bans.
Colonel General Nikolay Bogdanovsky of the Russian army, who occupies the position of First Deputy Chief of the General Staff, manufacturer Military Industrial Company, and industrial business Promtech-Dubna were among those on the new sanctions list, which was published on the government website.
