New Delhi: There is good news for the passengers traveling by air. Yes, GoFirst airline said that it will resume scheduled direct flights between Kashmir and Sharjah by the end of June. “The airline has recently received bilateral rights to operate five flights per week on the Srinagar-Sharjah-Srinagar route and the final approval is awaited,” GoAir said in a statement.
The facility was started after 11 years
The airline launched the Srinagar-Sharjah flight on October 23 last year, reconnecting Jammu and Kashmir with the UAE after 11 years. The flight was inaugurated by Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The company said that GoFirst will resume scheduled direct flights between Kashmir and Sharjah from the end of June 2022.
The airline said it will also start five additional direct flights from Srinagar to Delhi and two additional flights between Leh and Delhi from June 30 to meet the additional demand for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra.
