New Delhi: On Saturday, Union home minister Amit Shah will meet the family of Punjabi singer and rapper Sidhu Moose Wala in chandigarh. Shah is also scheduled to chair a meeting of the Punjab BJP leaders and address them.
On Friday, June 3, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited Sidhu Moose Wala’s home. he spent about an hour with the bereaved family at Moosa village in Mansa district, condoling the death of the 28-year-old Punjabi singer and assuring the slain singer’s family that his killers would soon be behind bars and slamming those “playing politics” over the death.
Earlier On Thursday, Sidhu Moosewala’s father had written a letter to Amit Shah demanding probe by a central agency into the murder of his son.
The 28-year-old singer rose to fame with catchy songs that often targeted rival rappers and politicians while portraying him as a man who fighting for his community’s pride. Besides India, Sidhu Moose Wala also had a massive following abroad, especially in Canada and Britain – both home to large Punjab-origin communities.
The Punjab and Haryana High Court was on Thursday informed that the security will be restored on June 7.
