Madhavi Raje Scindia, queen mother of the Gwalior Royal Family and mother of Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, passed away on Wednesday morning. She was 70 years old. Madhavi Raje was ill for a long time. He was admitted to AIIMS on February 15 and since then his health was deteriorating.

Delhi; Sources associated with AIIMS (Delhi AIIMS) said that Madhavi Raje breathed her last at 9:28 am. She was on ventilator for the last few days and was fighting for her life. He was admitted to AIIMS on 15 February. He had pneumonia along with sepsis. Jyotiraditya Scindia is the BJP candidate from Guna-Shivpuri parliamentary seat, where voting was held on May 7. Even during the election campaign, Scindia kept visiting Delhi continuously.

Senior BJP leader and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia  His mother Rajmata Madhavi Raje Scindia was originally from Nepal. He was related to the royal family of Nepal. His grandfather Judd Shamsher Bahadur was the Prime Minister of Nepal. She was married to Madhavrao Scindia in the year 1966.
