New Delhi: The office of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur, Maharashtra, received threats after which the Nagpul Police has since increased the security of Nitin Gadkari's office. The unidentified caller dialed Gadkari's PR office's landline number in Khamla and demanded a Rs 10 crore ransom.
New Delhi: The office of Union Minister Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur, Maharashtra, received threats after which the Nagpul Police has since increased the security of Nitin Gadkari’s office. The unidentified caller dialed Gadkari’s PR office’s landline number in Khamla and demanded a Rs 10 crore ransom.
According to the information received so far, the person who threatened the Union Minister on the phone two months ago, is believed to have been involved in the threat again. However, the Nagpul Police has since increased the security of Nitin Gadkari’s office. Along with this, the police has also strengthened the security system at his house.
Police officials say that an investigation is being conducted in this matter. According to the information, the threatening call came to Nitin Gadkari’s public relations office in Nagpur. The caller on his landline demanded a ransom of Rs 10 crore.
Earlier on January 14, three similar calls were received and a ransom of Rs 100 crore was demanded. In this case, a case was registered against a person named Jayesh Kantha. Jayesh Kantha is serving his sentence in Karnataka’s Belagavi Jail. Jayesh Kanta is facing death sentence in jail. Nagpur Police has started investigation in this case.
