Uttar Pradesh: Police said that a girl was allegedly kidnapped first and raped for 10 days on Saturday. She was 17-year-old. Police said the girl was rescued on Saturday and the 30-year-old accused has been arrested.
The police informed about the case and said that the girl left her home for college on the morning of December 18 but did not return. The family searched for him but there was no clue.
A police officer said her brother lodged a complaint with the police on December 19, following which an investigation was launched.
Police stepped up action and arrested Rajesh Dubey from Prayagraj district and booked him under Indian Penal Code Sections 363 (kidnapping), 366 (forcing marriage), and 376 (rape) and POCSO Act.
